Fall Quarter 2017 began Sep. 17, and ends on Dec. 17. This fall, we will be learning from both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, all while having fun!
The Sonbeams class is for children ages Pre-K through Grade 2. Although, some 2nd graders feel more comfortable in the GLOW class, depending on their academic and social needs. We encourage parents to place their 2nd grade children in the classroom that best suits them!
The Sonbeams are taught from the Heartshaper curriculum. To learn more about Heartshaper, and check out their free online resources, please click here: Heartshaper
GLOW-ing and Growing
G.L.O.W. stands for: God Loves Our World! The GLOW class is for children in Grades 3 – 6.
In this class, students learn to use their Bibles as part of each week’s lesson. The G.L.O.W. kids are taught with the Faithweaver NOW curriculum. If you are interested in learning what Faithweaver is all about, please check out their website, by clicking here: Faithweaver NOW
We usually have some special projects going on in Sunday School! Typically, these projects present a Biblical lesson in a new and fun way, or they focus on a particular portion of Scripture for memorization.
This fall, all of the children will be working together with Mr. V to create a video, re-telling the Old Testament Book of Jonah. The kids are very excited to begin work on this project!
Also this year, the GLOW class will be learning the Beatitudes (Matt. 5:3-11). Third graders in the class will memorize this passage of Scripture, to earn a special Bible, which will be presented to them in the spring. This is a very special and wonderful tradition for the kids, and they look forward to it.
