It is such a blessing to be part of a community of Christ-followers that are passionate about loving and serving our neighbors and local neighborhoods. My hope is that we would be known as the church that cares for our community. I am a born and raised Yooper. After completing seminary at North Park in Chicago, my wife Roxanna and I moved to the rural Alaskan village of Bethel, where I served 7 years as the Associate Pastor for the local Covenant church. It is there that all three of my kids were born, Zeke, Ari, and Elin. My love for the outdoors makes serving in a place like the Upper Peninsula extra special. What a gift. Outside of the outdoors, I enjoy the sport of hockey and am a volunteer coach for our local hockey association, where both of my sons play. If not at church, outside, or at the ice arena, you can find me at home sipping on coffee and sitting in my favorite chair! The food pantries in our area provide food items as well as other personal items to many residents in Delta County. Our congregation has been so generous and has given about 500lbs or more of food each quarter. We also have snacks and hot beverages for the adults too!
