I have had the honor and privilege of serving at the Gladstone Covenant Church since the spring of 2018. It is such a blessing to be part of a community of Christ-followers that are passionate about loving and serving our neighbors and local neighborhoods. My hope is that we would be known as the church that cares for our community.
I am a born and raised Yooper. After completing seminary at North Park in Chicago, my wife Roxanna and I moved to the rural Alaskan village of Bethel, where I served 7 years as the Associate Pastor for the local Covenant church. It is there that all three of my kids were born, Zeke, Ari, and Elin.
My love for the outdoors makes serving in a place like the Upper Peninsula extra special. What a gift. Outside of the outdoors, I enjoy the sport of hockey and am a volunteer coach for our local hockey association, where both of my sons play. If not at church, outside, or at the ice arena, you can find me at home sipping on coffee and sitting in my favorite chair!

Associate Pastor, Andrew Sturdy
Andrew joined the church as the Associate Pastor of Youth, Family, and Community Life in July 2019. He holds a BA in Youth Ministry from North Park University, and a Masters of Arts in Christian Formation with a focus in Leadership and Administration as well as a Certificate in Intercultural Studies from North Park Theological Seminary.
Previous to coming to the Covenant Church of Gladstone, Andrew worked in several different ministries and settings in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs as well as churches in both Connecticut and Wisconsin. Most recently, he spent a season working at UPS loading trucks and, ultimately, management. All of these experiences have continued to foster his love of people and helping them to take the next step in their faith journey, whatever that may look like.
Andrew loves superheroes, good coffee, and all things plaid. He loves to sit with people, hear their stories, and share some of his own. He is also excited to continue working his way through the ice cream creations at Dairy Flo this summer.
Andrew is married to Alicia, and they have one daughter, Stella. He absolutely could not do anything without their love and support.
